- my photography -
Allow me to introduce your photographer, Andrew Nelson.
"Mornings often don't come soon enough. Up early to witness a scattering of soft moonbeams along a winding trail. Or to capture the wonder of dawn's changing colors permeating the mist over a quiet rural scene."
Artistically inclined from youth, Andrew was surrounded by cartooning, graphic illustration, professional fashion design, oil painting, music and a grand appreciation for the outdoors, all in his immediate family. His mother gave him an old camera early on and by his teens, a friend introduced him to black-and-white film development and printing at home. So began a deeper life's passion with photography.
"Seems I've always been anxious to arise before sunup, grab the camera and begin a new day of personal discovery."
Adventuresome in spirit, Andrew entered the US Navy School of Photography. This exciting and expansive culture of people and places enhanced his desire for meaningful artistic expression. Learning under guidance of exceptional talent, his photographic ability for perception was further honed.
"Great photographs usually entail a groundwork of planning, preparation, timing and hopefully good fortune. I love the adventure of life, observing moments everywhere and seeking magical light always. My passion is to create images that inspire or reveal something less obvious in a unique and interesting way."
Andrew currently focuses on a portfolio which demonstrates that abounding opportunity for good photographs is always close by. No need to venture beyond the endless wonders around home.
"It's a truly great day if my art challenges another to seek for themselves a deeper experience with the graces of life and the MASTER of all grace."
A heart felt thank you to all new friends and followers for visiting me today!
